EDITORS' PICKS
We don't have the resources to write in-depth stories about everything. Our editors want to share a few more events each week that we think you should know about. These picks are chosen by them without input from the organizations listed.
LOCA Art Talks: Creating Recycled Fashion
Attendees will enjoy a close-up view of several dresses and a behind-the-scenes look at how artists may find materials, create textiles, assemble, and fit them for a live model on a runway. All who wear hats may pose for photos and qualify for a fun prize drawing. Refreshments will be served, and all will receive a coupon for a post-event discount at Lumberyard Restaurant. 5:30 p.m. April 16 at Laguna College of Art and Design Gallery.
The Bryatz Duo
This musical project merges the sound of traditional Eastern European folk instruments with modern audio technology. Denis Zhukov (balalaika) and Guzel Safiullina (domra/keyboards) perform classical and folk repertoire as well as original interpretations. 7:30 p.m. April 16 at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center.
