Dossi will be joined by a bevy of SoCal influencers at VidCon, widely considered one of the largest and most well-known conventions dedicated to online video creators, fans and the industry.

While growing up as a young girl in Cypress, well-known contortionist Sofie Dossi knew she had a talent from an early age. Years later, she has settled in her hometown and is an Orange County mainstay while performing internationally.
After she made her debut appearance on “America’s Got Talent” in 2016 at age 14, the Dossi family home was transformed into her training area. She was homeschooled by her mother Abir, who is now her manager. Her father Mike is her road crew and prop builder, while her older brother and roommate Zak produces her songs in between touring with his band People R Ugly.
Shortly after her initial television success, Dossi launched her YouTube channel. Her channel has amassed over 1.8 billion views and over 9 million subscribers. Her TikTok following is 12 million, and she has collaborated with major content creators such as Mr. Beast, Zach King, Lilly Singh, Logan Paul, Amp World (based in Huntington Beach) and Shawn Johnson.
“For my Youtube channel, I have been pushing my limits a lot more and exploring how far you can push the human body,” Dossi said during a recent interview. “I have also been helping other YouTubers face their fears.”
She appeared again on “America’s Got Talent” in 2019 and 2024, on the show’s “Champions” and “Fantasy League” editions, respectively. This year she is nominated for a Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Award as favorite female creator. She opened Dossi Dossi Athletics last month in Cypress, partnering with Division 1 athlete and longtime friend Makena Carrion, offering acrobatics, aerial and flexibility programs for aspiring and seasoned artists.
This week, Dossi performs at VidCon 2025 in Anaheim, a four-day digital media expo. It will be her seventh appearance at the event. She is planning to shoot a bow and flaming arrow with her feet over her head in a 5-7 minute show.
“I’m really excited, I am doing a bunch of fun new moves,” Dossi said. “I love VidCon because I finally get to meet everyone who has supported me throughout the years.”
SoCal Influencers Among the featured guests at VidCon
About 55,000 visitors are expected at the conference from June 18-21. It will be a rare opportunity to gather the top digital creators in the nation along with their fans under one roof.
VidCon was started in 2010 by brothers Hank and John Green, creators of the nerdy educational YouTube channel @VlogBrothers. Paramount took over the event in 2018 and the Anaheim Convention Center location has remained the flagship event.
Nearly 200 featured influencers/creators will be attending, along with plenty of opportunities for meet and greets with fans, industry panels, creator workshops and much more.
Dhar Mann, a prominent digital scripted content creator whose studio is based in Orange County, is confirmed as a featured industry speaker this week.
Other notable guest influencers this year include Dr. Sandra Lee, aka Dr. Pimple Popper, and Jools Lebron, whose “demure” TikTok video went viral in August with 34 million views and has amassed over 2 million TikTok followers.
Dr. Pimple Popper’s social media influence is international. Dr. Lee pulls in 80-90 million views per month with 17 million followers on TikTok, 4.7 million followers on Instagram and 8.9 million subscribers on YouTube with 6 billion total views.
Lebron is a Chicago-based TikTok sensation who captivated the internet in 2024 with her viral catchphrase, “very demure, very mindful.” A proud Puerto Rican trans woman, she began her journey as a cashier sharing makeup tutorials and Bratz doll content. Her video inspired celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Lindsey Lohan and RuPaul. She has partnered with major brands like Bottega Veneta, Lyft and Verizon, and made her late-night debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in August 2024.
Other influencers who will be recognized at the VidCon Hall of Fame Ceremony at 7 p.m. Thursday include VidCon co-founder Hank Green, Ian Hecox, Joey Graceffa, Rhett & Link, Rosanna Pansino and Tyler Oakley.
Attendees can choose between the Community, Creator or Industry tracks, with panels geared toward the mature creator or aspiring influencer. Major sponsors including Meta, Hollywood Reporter, YouTube and TikTok will hold panels, including the “YouTube Keynote: Celebrating 20 Years on YouTube” at 3 p.m. Friday.
There are meet and greets planned with Aphmau, Jason Bravura, Sofie Dossi and Dr. Sandra Lee throughout the week. Other notable events include diversity, equity and inclusion panels geared toward women and the LGBT+ community, cross-gen content (When Mom Finally Gets Your References) and workshops on leveraging product sales (“merch”). There will also be live podcast recordings, Industry Track fireside chats and invite-only networking events.
After its inaugural success last year, the “Crown the Creators” tournament will pit creators from different genres to compete in a Trivia Knockout for the ultimate crown at 10 a.m. Friday. Trending brands and products will be on display at the Expo Hall, multiple food trucks will be on site, and the arena will be transformed into VidCon After Dark in the evening. Don’t miss the Jesser and Cam Wilder Basketball Showdown 5 p.m. Saturday (ticketed separately).
Attendees can purchase one day tickets for $115, with multi-day tickets ranging from $195 to $1,230.
