About
Cynthia Dragoni is a cultural journalist whose work explores the intersections of dance, fashion, politics, and social change. Her writing and media projects have appeared in OBSERVER, PBS, and Marquee TV, and she is the creator of The Dance Lens, a multiplatform outlet blending deep reporting with cinematic storytelling across essays, videos, and podcasts.
A former classical dancer with performance experience in Ukraine, Russia, and New York City, she has worked across both classical and contemporary repertoires and later founded Ballet Institute NY, creating international ballet programs in France. She serves as artistic advisor to Gregory Cianci’s ballet company in Paris and has been part of the team at the Flying Carpet Festival, which brings dance and arts education to refugee and displaced children in the Middle East. She is a member of the Conseil International de la Danse at UNESCO in Paris.
