Love opera? Or never been and want to give it a try? This concert performance is the experience for you!
Soka Performing Arts Center has graciously invited 10 Culture OC donors to the Parnassas Society concert performance of "Madama Butterfly." Filled with passion and heartbreak, this opera tells the story of a Japanese geisha who marries an American naval officer and is abandoned. The opera explores themes of love, heartbreak, betrayal, and cultural differences.
You will be joined by Culture OC's award-winning classical music critic, TIMOTHY MANGAN, and Soka Performing Arts Center's general manager, RENEE BODIE. The afternoon will include:
a backstage tour of the Soka Performing Arts Center where you will learn about the unique aspects of this concert hall and might bump into some of the performers.
