This Los Angeles-based dance company, founded in 2007, uses the creative spirit of its home city as a backdrop for performances that inspire audiences to love dance. Led by Tina Finkelman Berkett, the company champions contemporary dance, educates audiences, and incites positive social change. 8 p.m. May 15 at Irvine Barclay Theatre.

100 years of Orlando Suero is the first solo exhibition celebrating the legacy of the famed photographer known for chronicling the lives of A-list stars in the golden age of Hollywood (1962 to the mid-1980s). Lauded for his ability to distill emotion, history and human connection into a single frame, Suero’s lens captured some of history’s most intimate and iconic moments. Through June 8th at the Hilton Anaheim.

This 40-minute dialogue between shakuhachi and electronics uses an original generative AI system named simerent.
