The paranormal-loving internet personality is set to join a slew of content creators at one of the world’s most popular conventions – June 25-27 – for digital influencers and the new media industry.

Visiting some of the most haunted places in the world, owning a possessed doll collection and being able to communicate with the dead, Kelsi Davies has built a massive online following centered around the paranormal.
“It's scary,” says the Orange County-based creator of exploring her supernatural connection, which she shows off to her combined audience of 9.3 million followers and subscribers through her YouTube and social media accounts. “But at the same time, I embrace and embark on a journey of understanding what it is.”
The Colorado native, who is one of the featured creators during this week’s VidCon gathering in Anaheim, grew up having spiritual experiences that, for a time, she pushed aside and ignored.
“I thought I was crazy, " she says. “People would brush it off if I ever mentioned it to anyone. But as it progressed, it just became more prominent in my life.”
After moving to Laguna Niguel at age 5, Davies found creative outlets through acting and dance while slowly becoming more comfortable with the experiences she once tried to ignore.
“I think (moving) changed my whole life,” says Davies, now 28. “There’s so many entrepreneurs and business owners in the O.C. that I learned a lot from. I don't know what I'd be doing if we still lived in Colorado.”
From a young age, she took on acting and hip-hop dance lessons, which led to performing at UC Irvine and Los Angeles Clippers' halftime shows. Her talent also brought her opportunities to appear in music videos including Ariana Grande’s “Into You,” Nick Jonas’ “Champagne Problems” and Mike Posner’s “I Took A Pill In Ibiza.”
Last December, Davies was invited to attend the Golden Globe nominees announcement press conference in Los Angeles, where she shared the red carpet with some of the movie industry’s most acclaimed talent, filmmakers and media personalities.
“My manager texted me and we were both freaking out,” Davies says. With her main goal of becoming a full-fledged actress, the invitation took her one step closer to her dream. “Being able to attend something so special like that, it was amazing.”
Continuing her momentum, Davies has been selected as a featured creator for this year’s upcoming VidCon at the Anaheim Convention Center, marking her third year in a row at the three-day event, June 25-27.
In previous appearances at the convention, the clairvoyant personality brought some of her haunted dolls for fans to meet and participated in panels and Q&A sessions as part of the Spotlight Stage programming. This year, Davies plans to host her own booth at VidCon, where she’ll meet fans and offer merchandise, including some new soy wax-based candles, for purchase.
“It’s a huge honor to be selected,” she says. “Every time I go, I always meet amazing people.”
For Davies, her uncertain beginnings have blossomed into a promising career filled with frights, stardom and a sense of direction she never saw coming: “It just makes me feel like everything I’ve worked so hard towards is really paying off.”
VidCon Goes Ape for 15
Debuting in 2010, VidCon has grown from a small gathering of content creators in Los Angeles to one of the world’s largest conventions centered around digital media and online creators, drawing hundreds of thousands of fans together under one roof in the U.S., with a few international offshoots. The event has been held at the Anaheim Convention Center since 2012, with a couple of years off because of the COVID pandemic. More than 55,000 people attended last year’s VidCon at the Anaheim Convention Center, and more than 50,000 are expected this year.
This year’s 15th anniversary brings in familiar favorites like creator panels, an expo hall for the industry, an outdoor festival, food trucks as well as highly-anticipated new events.
GorillaCon, the first-ever live event focused around the widely popular VR game Gorilla Tag, is making its debut as part of the VidCon lineup.
Gorilla Tag creators will be on hand to meet fans who will have chances to win giveaways, earn prizes and shop exclusive Gorilla Tag merch.
Special programming will take place throughout the event-within-an-event, including Gorilla Climb, a three-day competition that will feature eight competitors racing across a brand-new map set to premiere at GorillaCon. In addition, GorillaCon Parade will give creators and fans the opportunity to share their Gorilla Tag pride in a procession around the expo floor.
Upon purchase of a VidCon pass, Creator pass or Pro pass, attendees will have the opportunity to tack on admission to GorillaCon for an additional $80.
More than 160 featured creators – including Jeremy Hutchins, a member of the popular O.C.-based creator group AMP World – are expected to attend VidCon, giving fans numerous opportunities to meet, interact with and hear from some of the internet’s biggest personalities. As a space for all creators, the convention will continue to offer a slate of career networking and mentorship programs.
Attendees can expect a variety of workshops, panel discussions and networking opportunities designed to highlight media industry trends and help creators connect with industry professionals and grow their platforms. Parties, after-dark programming, a street fest on June 27 and meet-and-greet sessions will provide additional opportunities for creators and fans to network, socialize and get up close.
