Experience Orange County with us by signing up for one (or all!) of our upcoming Culture Club Presents events.
Have you ever wanted to attend a concert with a music critic and then get the chance to talk with them about the performance during intermission or after the show? Or take a stroll through a museum with the person who curated the exhibition? Or taste a delicious new menu item at a popular restaurant, talk about it with a food writer then meet the chef?
You can do that with our new program: Culture Club Presents. Think of this as a special gift to you from Culture OC and the local arts community.
We are offering our Culture Club donors exclusive opportunities to attend some of this season’s most exciting cultural events with us. You might also have the chance to mingle with the people who make art and manage our cultural institutions. It’s an ideal way to bring together many members of the cultural community – artists, audiences, behind-the-scenes professionals and journalists – in a friendly and supportive environment.
A Rare Treat
The first Culture Club Presents event of 2025 promises to be a rare treat for jazz fans.
Two giants of the genre, vocalist Jane Monheit and guitarist Lee Ritenour, join forces with the The Pacific Jazz Orchestra in an 80th-birthday tribute to songwriter, vocalist and pianist Ivan Lins. The Grammy-winning master of Brazilian music is one of the most recorded composers in the world with over 40 albums to his credit. Lins’ songs have been recorded by Sarah Vaughan, Quincy Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Barbra Streisand, Manhattan Transfer, Al Jarreau and Michael Bublé, among many others.
For this first event, you will be joined by Peter Lefevre, one of our award-winning music writers. The evening will include drinks on the plaza before the performance, complimentary tickets to the concert, and possibly a meet-and-greet with the musicians after the performance.
We’re partnering with Segerstrom Center for the Arts for this jazz event along with two others this spring:
The acclaimed Broadway hit “Kimberly Akimbo” (Jan. 23)
American Ballet Theatre’s production of “The Winter’s Tale” choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon (April 3)
We have 10 tickets available for each event. We will confirm the final list of attendees a week before the date of the event. Click on the event you want to attend below to learn more and join the list:
In addition to the complimentary tickets, we will work to make each event an evening to remember by including refreshments, the opportunity to meet up with the artists when available, and other treats that may become available.
Culture Club Presents is available to our donors only. Current donors are already eligible. For a donation of as little as $10 per month or $100 per year, you will be eligible to join us at up to three events per year.
