'The Student Prince'
Opera Laguna's semi-staged concert features a full live orchestra, Opera Laguna’s Young Professional Chorus, acclaimed soloists, and live ballet. A Broadway hit in 1924 and the longest running show of its time, this beloved operetta tells a story of love, freedom, and impossible choices. 7:30 p.m. July 3 at the Laguna Playhouse.
Young Frankenstein'
Celebrate Mel Brook's 100th birthday this week (it happenS on June 28) by watching his classic take on horror's favorite monster. Gene Wilder gives one of his greatest performances as Dr. Victor von Frankenstein, who inherits the castle of his grandfather. Comic hijinks ensue. June 29, 30, and July 2 at Frida Cinema.
USA 250 Concert
The Concordia Symphony Orchestra, in partnership with the Richard Nixon Foundation and USA 250 Orange County, invites you to a special USA 250 Concert conducted by Jeff Held. This 75-minute performance features several guest soloists, including pianist Xiangdong Kong and award-winning soprano Emily Valenzuela. 7 p.m. June 30 at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum.
