Paul Taylor Dance Company

March 18 @ 7:30 p.m.

One of America's most iconic modern dance companies celebrates the 50th anniversary of "Esplanade," the definitive Paul Taylor work—playful, somber, romantic, and explosive. Alongside this masterpiece, the company will present other innovative and groundbreaking works that continue to push the boundaries of modern dance. 7:30 p.m. March 18 at Musco Center for the Arts.

Return of the Swallows

March 19, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Mission San Juan Capistrano’s annual St.Joseph’s Day and Return of the Swallows festivities will be held on the historic Mission grounds on Thursday, March 19. To commemorate the Mission’s 250 th anniversary, a special flyover by WWII-era North America AT-6 planes will take place between noon – 12:30 p.m. (weather permitting). The world-renowned return of the swallows is marked each year on St. Joseph’s Day, a liturgical feast day recognized in the Catholic Church.

Women of the Festival

Through April 30

In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Festival of Arts has unveiled its newest offsite exhibition, Women of the Festival: Celebrating Women’s History Month, on view at the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center through April 30. Curated from the Festival of Arts Permanent Art Collection, the exhibition highlights the lasting influence of women artists who have contributed to Laguna Beach’s rich artistic legacy and the Festival’s nearly century-long history.
