Improv Drop-in Class
Get a taste of improv in these Wednesday drop-in classes open to all levels, designed to accommodate students with little or no experience. First timers are welcome. Sessions include scene fundamentals, making choices, and using emotion. 7 p.m. Jan. 14 at Improv Collective, 1215 Baker Street, Costa Mesa.
HOPE Center for the Arts: Be Seen
The community is invited to attend this opening reception at Irvine City Hall, featuring a live performance by the Hi Hopes Band. The exhibition includes artwork by adults with disabilities from the Irvine-based nonprofit HOPE Center for the Arts, highlighting expressive, original works across a variety of media. Admission and parking are free. 2 p.m. Jan. 15 at Irvine City Hall, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine.
